Monday, Funday...

... As a stay at home mum coming towards the end of the holidays I'm not feeling so fun... I want structure! I want nursery to start again (I only feel a tad bad saying that).

It's very easy to lose structure when you are your own boss. It's easy to fall into sloppy ways. I actually miss nursery not because the kids go back but because its a reason to be up and out, a reason to think a tad more about my wardrobe, a reason to start a list (I do love a list!).

And, in advance of the 'school gate' and my resolution not to wear sneakers everyday, I've invested (sales) in some Toga Pulla shoe-boots (new school term, new shoes...)...

Blonde (to be blonde)...

Over the years I have tried high lights (and at the start I looked like someone had smashed an yoke or two on my head). Then I learned about 'dip dye' or 'ombré' (things on the hair front looked up) but going lighter is addictive (for me!). Which resulted in snapping, yellow hair - my own fault I know how dark my hair is and yet I push - let's try!!! (I want to be a blonde - one of those French 20 something's that touches up their high lights with bleach on a toothbrush...).

So having successfully had 'ombré' hair I was getting a touch bored and seeing a recent photo thought I need some serious hair thought. So armed with a multitude of torn images (of said 20 something's from French Elle) I approached my hair colourist (via Instagram - hey! its all about social media - no...) with the comment I have an hour with you so can we achieve this...

Skip to 3 days later and my hair is significantly lighter and by the time I go back at the start of November (per 40 - just!!!!) my hair dare I say it will be a honey shade of blonde....

Which is why, knowing the damage that lightening your hair can do - I bought the above from trusty Amazon... (I did do some research first) and it works!

I think I might actually be hitting the big 40 happy with my potentially long blonde hair...

Being Blonde...

As my hair appointment draws closer, my dreams of being a blonde grow stronger, I'll never be a blonde but I can't help dream...

Pediculosis Capitis & Horses...

The advantages of taking a child to nursery are enormous. Socialisation for example, development, immunity to bugs... well lets stop there!
Due to 'bugs' or lets say Pediculosis Capitis I have my head drenched in Hedrin (For the first time in my life I'm praying - it'll work). According to the instructions we have to repeat after 7 days and then 'they' should have gone - which is just what I need as I have an invite (and a 2 hour window) to hit the fabulous Terry de Havilland sample sale!
As I recently (and probably incorrectly as a parent) pointed out to said 3 year old, 'sharing is not always caring...'
Please note my fabulous novelty knit jumper, that and the fact I have a pair of Acne boots winging there way to me this evening is making this slightly more bearable...
