Blonde...

Like so many things dying hair is addictive. It started as a warm brunette, then went to 'dip dye', then kinda toned in the 'dip dye', then lost it and just went 'full head high lights'.

And now...

I'm thinking, lighter? Because rightly or wrongly for me - blondes do have more fun.

Hair Cut...

Finally...

...After over a year I summoned up the courage to get my hair cut. On an emergency trip to House of Vintage on Cheshire St (word on the street vintage Chanel shoes £85 / size 5) I can drive fast (within speed limits) when I need too!

I ambled past Taylor Taylor also on Cheshire St (I already get my hair dyed at Taylor Taylor - Commercial St) and popped in on the off chance of an appointment (remember the days when you didn't need to book even a fringe trim 3 weeks - minimum - I'm advance...) anyway they had a space - there and then! Plus I loved the stylist and her own hair! And so took the plunge and had a hair cut (after hitting 40 and struggling with it - still am.

Plus having previously having a scissor happy stylist - I was nervous!) but wow! I'm so sold - fabulous understanding and fabulous hair cut (not enough taken off to freak me out but enough to make it look healthy again!).

Oh! And the shoes (amazing quality)... A tad too big for me so if you're quick...

Jumper - Isabel Marant, Bottoms - Zoe Karssen

Blonde (to be blonde)...

Over the years I have tried high lights (and at the start I looked like someone had smashed an yoke or two on my head). Then I learned about 'dip dye' or 'ombré' (things on the hair front looked up) but going lighter is addictive (for me!). Which resulted in snapping, yellow hair - my own fault I know how dark my hair is and yet I push - let's try!!! (I want to be a blonde - one of those French 20 something's that touches up their high lights with bleach on a toothbrush...).

So having successfully had 'ombré' hair I was getting a touch bored and seeing a recent photo thought I need some serious hair thought. So armed with a multitude of torn images (of said 20 something's from French Elle) I approached my hair colourist (via Instagram - hey! its all about social media - no...) with the comment I have an hour with you so can we achieve this...

Skip to 3 days later and my hair is significantly lighter and by the time I go back at the start of November (per 40 - just!!!!) my hair dare I say it will be a honey shade of blonde....

Which is why, knowing the damage that lightening your hair can do - I bought the above from trusty Amazon... (I did do some research first) and it works!

I think I might actually be hitting the big 40 happy with my potentially long blonde hair...

Being Blonde...

As my hair appointment draws closer, my dreams of being a blonde grow stronger, I'll never be a blonde but I can't help dream...
